NJ Economic Development Authority Announces $54.5 Million in Grants for Child Care Facility Improvements

The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA)  approved the creation of the $54.5 million Child Care Facilities Improvement Pilot Program for child care centers and family child care homes. Through Phase 1 of the program, the NJEDA will provide nearly $15 million in grants of up to $200,000 to licensed child care centers in New Jersey to cover the costs of facility improvements. The Child Care Facilities Improvement Program provides grants to New Jersey child care providers for facilities improvements that will contribute to high quality early childhood learning environments. Early Mercer Reads Day Scheduled for June 1 at 10 AM

The 13th annual Early Mercer Reads Day will be held virtually this year on June 1 at 10 a.m.  All child care programs are invited to attend.   NJ First Lady Tammy Murphy will be one of the guest readers.  Following the event, there will be a variety of videos available of books read by members of the community.  We hope you will share the information with the parents of children in your care.  Videos will be available during the month of June.  For more information, Click here.

Governor Announces Grants for Summer Youth Camps and Extends Enrollment-Based Subsidy Reimbursement Through August 2022!

Governor Murphy announced the availability of grants for summer youth camps, similar to those offered earlier in the year to licensed and State-registered family child care providers.  He also extended enrollment-based child care subsidy reimbursement payments through August 2022.  Grants range between $7,500 and $25,000 depending on the number of children enrolled and the number of weeks the camp is open.  For more information regarding the summer camp grants, Click Here.
