Grow NJ Kids

Child Care Connection proudly supports Grow NJ Kids, New Jersey’s quality rating and improvement system for early childhood programs. This exciting new program provides family child care and center-based early childhood care and education programs serving infant, toddler, and preschool-age children with a number of resources for demonstrating and working to improve the quality of experiences for children and families.

Grow NJ Kids provides you with:

  • An assessment tool to review your program
  • A clear roadmap for improving quality
  • A way to market to parents your higher-quality child care program

Centers enrolled in Grow NJ Kids are granted exclusive access to educational scholarships and free training for staff and promotional materials to share with families. Programs also receive free, on-site quality improvement technical assistance visits and access to information on the most current evidence-based practices.

To enroll in Grow NJ Kids, center-based programs should visit www.grownjkids.gov. Interested family child care providers should contact their local child care resource & referral agency (CCR&R). Child Care Connection is the CCR&R serving Mercer County.

For accredited programs, the State recently changed its reimbursement rate policy. See the policy statement under the Forms section, above. Also provided in the Forms section for your information is the current rate chart for programs receiving child care subsidy reimbursement, as well as a flyer on Grow NJ Kids (GNJK) tiered reimbursement rate incentives.
