Mercer County Voucher Program

The Mercer County Child Care Voucher Program is a County-funded program that provides child care subsidy to moderate-income families who are over the income eligibility limit for the New Jersey Cares for Kids (NJCK) program. Payments for child care can only be made to licensed child care centers and camps, or registered family child care providers in New Jersey. Mercer County parents or legal guardians who are working and meet the income guidelines may be eligible.

Eligibility is based on gross annual family income and family size. Applicants must be permanent residents of Mercer County and must be employed or in school full-time.  In order to assist as many families as possible, eligibility is limited to one year.  Please note that there is typically a waiting list for this program; however, we encourage eligible families to apply because families are continuously being moved from the waiting list into eligible status.

To determine if you are income-eligible for the Mercer County Voucher Program or to download an application, see the Forms section at right. Please note that this application is for the Mercer County Voucher Program only and is not an application for the New Jersey Cares for Kids (NJCK) child care subsidy program.
